CFTE and the FCA collaborate to transform AI experimentation into shared learning, strengthening capability, AI literacy, and responsible innovation across financial services.
London, 29 January 2026 — CFTE is highlighting a new collaboration with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) focused on strengthening how learning from AI experimentation is captured, shared, and translated into capability across financial services.
The collaboration builds on the FCA AI Lab's work supporting firms exploring and testing AI through initiatives such as the Supercharged Sandbox and AI Spotlight. Through the partnership, the FCA and CFTE will deliver the AI Lab Supercharged Academy, a ten-week capability-building programme for AI-led innovators, and the AI in Finance Observatory, bringing together real-world AI use cases from across the FCA AI Lab ecosystem.
"This collaboration with CFTE will help turn AI experiments into practical learning that firms can use to build capability to adopt AI safely and responsibly." — Colin Payne, Head of Innovation, FCA
"Our role is to support that work by helping translate experimentation into structured learning and capability, enabling firms and stakeholders to better understand how AI is being applied in practice." — Tram Anh Nguyen, Co-Founder, CFTE
